Note:

Montreal Tramways Company was incorporated in 1911 in Quebec. Montreal Street Railway Company amalgamated into Montreal Tramways Company that same year. Controlling interest was held by Montreal Tramways and Power Coompany. In 1951, the Montreal Tramways Company became Montreal Transportation Commission. The name changed to Commission de transport de la communaute urbaine de Montréal in 1970. The name subsequently changed to Société de transport de la communaute urbaine de Montréal in 1995, and Société de transport de Montréal in 2002.
